The Tropic Premise / The Aetiology of Malocclusion

Prof. John Mew's article The Aetiology of Malocclusion, where he introduced his Tropic Premise, was published in the British Dental Journal in 1981.

The ideas it introduces are the basis of orthotropics (the alternative to orthodontics that we advocate) and related approaches such as airway-focused/airway-centric orthodontics.

It is a very readable article, and is unfortunately still as relevant today as it was when it was first published.
